Pulling 2"x4" Wire for Garden

I got a new garden plot that is going to be overun by the garden predators very soon. I got a bunch of free 8' posts and was trying to determine what would be the easiest/best option for the buck. I was thinking 2x4" pig wire but don't have a tension tool or a whole bunch of experience running this type of fence. Any suggestions?

I use (2) 2x4's cut the same length as your wire is tall, drill matching holes at each end and one in the middle. Put one board each side of the wire and put them together with nuts/bolts. hook a ratchet chain or strap to the boards and pull tight then nail away. Hope this helps.

Thanks Man! that sounds like it would do the trick. now I have to convince myself to spend that much in fencing!

You can also use a riding mower/ 4-wheeler for tension
