i used to bowhunt there quite a bit. I killed a 3 point year before last. Park in the parking lot where the beach is. there is a old road that goes straight out, paralling the lake. About 100-150 yards out, cut left and there is a stand of persimmons. They are about halfway between tht road and the edge of the woods at the lake. Seen alot of deer and turkey there.

When they close that road, it is a long walk. I have parked on the upper road and walked down the power line to the lake. Not sure what i would have done if i killed a deer. Best bet is to use a boat and go around.

i don't think you can park at the beach anymore or hunt down there i think the guy that overlooks the campground and things will run you off not 100% but i think so

Your correct doc. You can't park inside the campgrounds/beach area. They frown upon any weapons in that area. And they consider archery equipment as a weapon.
