i am fixin to be in the market for a new bow.i have shoulder trouble and am gonna get one that maxes out at 50 pounds and i have a 29 inch draw length.i have heard that the newer pse bows are some of the fastest bows out there right now.do any of u guys that shoot pse have any problems out of ur bows.i just aint sure i trust the preloaded limbs. i do like the looks of the new vendetta xs and xl.i also like the bowmadness line.so do u guys recommend pse.
 
I've had 3 (and only bows) PSE in my life.

One I can't remember but...

2. Gamesport, 60lb max, youth bow. Took a few deer with it and used it for competition when I was a kid. Back in the day when we had string trackers and straight up "arrow rest". Worked great and was very quiet.

3. Bought a new one for last year/this year. PSE Stinger, very quiet and very lightweight. I love it. I got it from a company online that sights it in, and a bunch of other package deal stuff. Check out their website because they did a SUPERB job and it was very cheap compared to going to bow shop/bass pro and buying all individually. Put it this way, after a couple fine tune adjustments I robin hooded my first 2 arrows!

Have not taken a deer this year with it yet, but that is very shot lived. Hard to hit the woods like I want with my wife 9 months pregnant.

Either way, I'm confident when I do get a shot it will be a perfect shot.

I can assure you theres no need to worry about the limbs. And i can tell you that the Vendettas are awesome shooting bows and as smooth as any bow out. I feel the Vendetta XS will be the best selling bow PSE has ever made. If your ever around Greeneville you are welcome to come to my shop and try one out i have both in stock
 
i would recommend you actually SHOOT one before you form an opinion. never buy a bow on looks or somebody else's opinion. most all manufacturers make quality bows. you just have to shoot them to see what you like.

surely they are not serious. you can't sight in somebody else's bow and expect it to shoot the same for them.

I know the site he is talking about. They get it all setup to how you want it as in the draw lenth, poundage, sight, rest, string loop, peep and they paper tune it.
Then they say this "Once the bow is grouping properly downrange, our staff shooters rough-set your top sight sight-pin (for a 15-20 yard shot). So your very first shot with your new Ready-to-Hunt bow is likely to be land within a few inches of the bullseye. Of course, every shooter is different. So the fine pin-settings will be up to you. But our process puts you comfortably "on the paper", so you don't have to start from scratch - possibly sending an arrow into an unforgiving neighbor's yard."


I have never used them, just explaining what the deal is.
 
i have been bowhunting for 10 year now and buy a new bow about ever 2 year.my newest bow is a mission journey.i was just askin about the durabilty of the new pse.after lookin on there website can u even get a pse that maxes out at 50.

I just checked the website and all of the bows i looked at are offered in 50 lb
 
That's true, that site will sight them in to a grouping for whoever shoots them. You have to fine tune adjust it a bit. It basically gets the arrows within say a couple inches of the target -vs- starting from scratch.

Check your PM, I personally would get a bow that has a poundage from 40-60lb. If for whatever reason you want to go up in poundage you can. You'd hate to get one that maxes out at 50lbs and a month after extensive use you decide it's too little.

Like my daddy told me when I was a kid "If you're gonna buy something make sure you buy the big one first, cause if you dont' you'll wanna upgrade soon!"

my oldest boy shoots UNDER a bag target sitting on the ground at 20 yds. with my bow sighted in by me, for me. you cannot expect to be within a couple of inches if somebody else sights in your bow.


with today's bows, 50 lbs. is plenty and with the shoulder problems he describes, 50 lbs. i the way i would go. bows are designed for peak performance at peak weight. i would rather have a 50 lb. bow maxed out than a 60 lb. bow backed out to 50.
 
i agree stik.if i get one that maxes out at 50 and shoots good and is fairly fast i will see no need of shootin more pounds.i am not one of those speed freaks and dont shoot out past 35 yards anyways.
