After 39yrs of hunting my dad finally got a wall hanger yesterday morning at 7:45am. We were hunting different properties which are only a mile apart. Like always we text on what we see and what not just to break up the boredom. He text me and said he had just shot a 7pt that he thought was the one we had on camera several times. It was a nice tall and thick 7pt so I was happy for him. He stayed in his stand for awhile and later texted me a picture....it wasn't the 7pt. It was a 9pt we've never seen before and man was it a beauty. He had never seen something that big before in person (grew up in pa where its brown and down so bucks rarely get big in that area.) Turns out it came slipping through behind some thick stuff with 2 others and all he could see what the top of the rack. He knew it was big and a shooter so when it steps out he only looked at the kill zone. I scored it today at 133 1/8 gross. And yes thats a power loader on the 4wheeler... I had back surgery in may so don't hate haha.
