I bought this TC Triumph in mid November and now that the Christmas week has finally started the wife lets me open my scope, rings, and base. Put it together tonight and can't wait to start zeroing it in.
Still keeping my Gray Hawk and New Englander though.

I assume you used it with iron sights this season. I'd like to know how well the breech plug stops the blow-back fouling. How tough is it to clean? I really like how my CVA Optima shoots, but the fouling even from just snapping caps gets into all sorts of crooks and nannies.

Hasn't been shot yet. Will advise on fouling. I have read a lot of reviews. Most say it is as advertised but there are some that say wrong too. I suspect I will use some anti seize stuff after first use.

That's a purdy smokepole ya got there. I really like that scope. Every experience I've had with the Triumph has been positive. In fact the only negative I can find with them is that with open sights I find I have to lower my head to an uncomfortable angle. Not a big deal for hunting around here but I hunt in CO where scopes are not legal. That's a VERY tiny nit. Everything else was as advertised. I don't think you'll be disapointed.

Now I'm really interested how it shoots, because I bought one today. I wasn't really looking to buy one on Christmas Eve, but it was on my short list of possible purchases before next fall. Well, I was shopping for something totally different this morning, and I walked through the Sporting Goods department, and they had a TC Triumph in Black stock with Blue metal on clearance for $275! The same rifle on Gunbroker is going for $399. I just couldn't pass it up.

Finally got to shoot it today. The local range has been swamped since Christmas so some friends invited me to their personal range to shoot it. It took a while and some shooting but finally I got to shooting 3" groups at 100 yards. I was happy then. I shot 25 shots with 2 pyrodex pellets and with that Sims recoil pad it never did make my shoulder sore. I see one of them on my Rem 700 in the near future.

It was a day of shooting full of mistakes. First, I managed to break the super jag leaving the threads in the ramrod. Second, my lovely assistants adjusted the scope the wrong way a time or two, and we moved from 35 to 100 yards too soon. I wanted to shoot a lot and we managed that. lol Some stupid mistakes by a team that knows better.

I will be going again asap to fine tune and shoot some longer ranges. I like it. Shoots better than any ml I have ever owned.
