went to my property this morning to plant my soybeans and theres a truck.
I called the game warden and while i was waiting on him i heard a shot and 10 minutes later walking toward their truck is 2 guys with a turkey on their shoulder.sh#* hit the fan now,made them put their guns over against a tree and wait till the local police and game warden showed up.one guy had no license and the other one has been in trouble with this same game warden before numerous times.one month from today i got to miss a day of work to go to court to prosecute em, well worth it.

Good. Had to do it myself this year. Turkey hunters seem to be bad about crossing lines to get to a gobbling bird, they just cant help themselves. Least around around here anyway.

no they gave me no trouble when they saw my 9 on my side.no they did not take their guns and they had no permission to hunt anywhere around my property.

Well you know some will disagree with you about carrying and the reasons why it isn't a good idea or why you shouldn't.

I will stand up and say that is another reason why we should be allowed to carry while hunting and any other time. You never know who you will run into while hunting and especially even if being on your own property.

Suppose you weren't armed..... two guys against one guy could have a bad ending depending on the mindset of the guys you run into.

Glad you got them caught, maybe they won't need another reminder to learn their lesson.

i know it is perfectly legal to carry my side arm(and i do) while hunting but if i am confronted while turkey hunting, do you really think i am going to throw the 12 ga. down and go for my pistol? i don't think so. ;)
