Looks awesome. Would you mind to go through the steps you took from start to finish, as far as preparing the plot?
Took down small pines and saplings, sprayed gly, turned up wth atv disc, sewed seed ,cultipacked, was not happy so lightly ran disc again. Sewed winter peas on 8/31 did not get rain for 3 weeks so went back in and slung some winter wheat/oats combo! Getting pics of does and small bucks daily so whether I kill one or not off of it I have enjoyed it!

Awesome. I have a small piece of cutover that is triangle shaped. Pines border half of the triangle and hardwoods border the other half. It is 100 yds long with a grown over logging road running down the base of the triangle and 100 yds wide at its widest point at the point of the triangle. It was almost impossible getting anything back there to work the ground. Got it done about 2 weeks ago. It was a last minute deal so I really didn't have time to spray. Knocked everything down to the ground and then disked and sewed the seed. Didn't have a cultipacker, so we tried to drag it the best we could. Luckily, it rained about 3 hours after we finished and has rained a couple of times since. Wheat, oats, and peas is what I put out. Next year, I will have more time to get to work with it.

What is that implement you're pulling behind the 4-wheeler in the next to last pic? Is that a home-made cultipacker?
Yes , I made it a few days prior to sewing this plot!

An excluder would tell you a lot. I had no idea how much the deer were hitting my small plot until I saw shin tall clover inside the little round fence and two inch tall clover outside of it.
