Anyone know of a different processor in the Greeneville area besides Snapps Ferry? I'm now have had a buck 3 years ago stolen out of the drop off cooler and now they have lost deer deer that I took them 3 weeks ago.

Same as above just call before to make sure they are still taking deer. They get full fast when muzzle loader season opens. Can't say someone won't take ur deer out of the cooler as it is 24hr drop-off or it was last I was there.

BTW who does that kinda backhanded bs steal a man's deer out of a cooler at the processor? I guess it shouldn't but people surprise me more everyday.

desperate times call for desperate measures. that's terrible that someone would steal a deer.
had not really thought about that aspect. I process all my own deer so I know I get "my" deer. couple of inexpensive knives, cheap cutting board, and a few hours of time and the deer is ready for the freezer. if you've not processed your own deer before you'll be happy you learned and save some money too. and you know how your meat was handled.
i learned out of necessity and kept doing it so i knew my deer was properly handled. you'd be surprised how easy it is.

bless you all.

Thanks to all for info.Yea I got a doe a few weeks back. Kept waiting for the call saying it was ready. Nothing. So I called yesterday. They can't find it. A few years back I got a pretty nice 6 pointer for this area. Got a call a day later saying that someone had taken several deer out of the cooler and mine was one of them. Think it's time for me to find somewhere else. Would love to do my own, but 1- do not have the area to do it and would not even know where to start.

You don't need much room. 2 bowls and a place for a cutting board is all that is truly needed.

YouTube is a good start on learning the process.

I use Mccoy custom meats in Rogersville and haven't had/heard of any problems.
