I will likely go again the in two weeks, but this upcoming weekend I can't so things are winding down as far as my shed hunting goes. I didn't get to look much this weekend, but I found three. All are fresh. One of them was already bleached pretty bad and the littlest was chewed on quite a bit at the tip.
This will probably be my best shed season regardless of how many I find in upcoming years. It took all of 5 minutes and I had already found my biggest antler to that point. My goal for that day was to match my best year in one day (three antlers) and I did. I went back the next day and matched up the big one to make my first ever matched set. My lifetime total before this year was ten so another goal was to beat my lifetime total. I have 25 at this point. 9 dead bucks but four had no antlers. I did, however, fail my goal to find my biggest trail camera buck's antlers.
Already setting my goals for next year. They won't be easy though!
