That's very cool, I thought the largemouth record breaking years were behind us in Tennessee since Chickamauga has been on a slight decline lately. It's even cooler that Chicks little sister Nickajack produced the record.

Yea they are pressuring fish at nickajack something terrible, have been for couple years now.

Isn't Chickamauga the lake They do early season tournaments on and get 45 pound five stringer fish?
Or at least they used to

Not anymore. Yesterday's big tournament had something like a 25 pound first place. Back in the day Rogne Brown had one over 50 pounds.

Hard to find a spot to fish at chick lately, every slough ya pull into will be packed.

I used to fish both Nick and Chick. As I get older, I'm preferring smaller boats and lakes. I spent most of my lake time on Bedford lake last year in a kayak. May get a jon this year.

Throw it back, let it grow another year 😆 🤣 😂

I've caught one 8lb bass in my life. I can't imagine what it would be to catch a record size fish.
i don't eat bass, and wouldn't spend a penny to put one on the wall either. i did catch a smallmouth years ago at the steamplant at Rogersville that was a bit over 26" long. memories are all you get to keep...

When I caught that 8lb bass there was no such thing as cell phones and handy cameras.
i still don't have a cell phone. i lost my last waterproof camera turkey hunting a few of years back. it had nearly 500 images in it of turkeys, deer, my older (now deceased) brother, camping trips etc.. i'm still not over that loss...

I get that. Was it a digital camera? Do you have any idea where you lost it? I would come help you look. I have a couple metal detectors we can use.

2nd place in that tournament was 29lbs with a bf of 9 something. The 33lb bag didn't have a fish over 7.5 lol
