So it happened quick this morning. This guy was pushing a spike away and i had no time for decision. It's one of the biggest racks I have taken, but he seems pretty small/young. You think this deer is 2.5? He's the biggest we've taken or seen on this farm in 5 years. Only one other buck has been taken which was an old deer but smaller rack. Also, don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic with this guy. He's just got me wondering if he's a young stud. Will try and get a jaw bone pic.

I'd say 3.5. It's the first few pictures his nose looks short like a 2.5 but the last ones he looks 3.5

My brother bought that exact muzzleloader and gave to our younger brother 2 years ago .
It's not in the best shape but with 90 grains of pyrodex the first shot will dead center the bullseye at 100 yards

It's getting harder to judge age by body dimensions as they run themselves down and loose weight as the rut progresses. Best guess 3.5 or 4.5. Either way he is impressive. Good job!!!

I was going to say 3.5 before I seen the jawbone....very well could be a 2.5.got some messed up teeth .\
