Presidents Island - where to stay

Got drawn for the Ensley Unit hunt Dec 6-8. There will be three of us and I'm curious where we should camp / stay. I have a bumper pull camper we could bring, or should we stay in motel? Curious what others have done.

Camping onsite with TWRA guys will give you a hand up in my opinion. You will be onsite without a commute which will encourage you to hunt more, and it will allow you to maximize your time in the woods without the drive time, etc. You will make friends and stay "in the know" as to what all is going on that weekend if you are on the WMA more. You can always drive to local eateries at night if you desire.

For hotels, look to the south across the state line in Southaven, MS. Regardless of the hotel, or location, secure your valuables, stay aware of your surroundings, and be smart about everything.

He has the Ensley Unit, not the Island. Not sure if there is camping available at Ensley. I believe T.O. Fuller state park is right next door and has campsites.

I stayed in Southaven, MS. I did leave my trailer and 4 wheeler on the island next to the check in station.

99% sure you can. Ensley unit is 10 miles from where campers will be on main island.
