Presidents island hunt?

I was drawn for the island buck hunt coming up this weekend I am taking my dad which is partially disabled from Vietnam. I have never stepped foot on the island was wondering if anybody on here that has hunted it would give me any info they know about areas to hunt thanks? Also are we required to wear orange on this hunt?

I unfortunately was selected last year when the ice storm hit...out of roughly 80 hunters...4 bucks...2 of them where killed in the same location roughly. I could help with that.

hunt the southwest and far west blocks of timber of the island. Stay away from the timber to the north unless those fields have been reclaimed and replanted since the flood.

Goodluck! My inlaws live very close by. Maybe someday I'll lose my archery virginity and apply for a hunt.

You don't have to wear blaze orange and make sure and take a 4 wheeler. If it rains that's the only way you can go on the roads.
