Weather was terrible Thursday for scout day. I wish I would have taken my SxS, it rained and sleeted most of the day. I had 4 spots picked out to scout before I got there. I hit the jackpot on the first spot. There were scraps and rubs everywhere in approx 3 acre area. It was all in kinda open woods. After making a circle I found where I thought they were going to bed next to the river. So I backed up on the other side of all the sign about 100 yds next to a little thicker area. All the trails were coming out of the thicker area to where the sign was then to where I thought bedding was. I hung a loc on stand and got out of the area. I went and looked at one more spot and it was an awesome looking area also. I found a tree I could climbe with my climber. And figured I could use it for a backup spot. I got on stand by 5:15 and heard two fighting back behind me. And had a buck chasing a doe under me before daylight. From daylight til 11am I seen 8 different bucks and 5 doe. There were 3 bucks chasing one doe when I shot my buck at 38 yds. It was worth the 14 yr wait. Sorry the pics loaded rotated.
