I have a question about Prentice Cooper. If I'm reading the hunting guide correctly, it looks like they actually do 6 hunts there, but only 2 of them are quota hunts. So the archery quota hunt is 3 days from Sep 20-22, and then it looks like the place is wide open to public archery hunting for the next 6 days. Then it looks like it's wide open again to the public for gun hunting from Oct 31 - Nov 2 and Nov 29 - Dec 4. Is that correct?

The Oct 31 - Nov 2 gun hunt sounds interesting. Has anyone ever done the open archery or gun hunts there? Is the place completely overrun with hunters from the Chattanooga area?

Deer (Archery) - One hunt, Sep. 20-22. Hunter quota 500. Two deer, no more than one antlered (bonus deer).

Deer (Archery) - One hunt, Sep. 23-28. Two deer, no more than one antlered (bonus deer). No area checking station operated.

Deer (Muzzleloader) - One hunt, Oct. 9-11. Hunter quota 350. Two deer, no more than one antlered (bonus deer).

Deer (Gun - Young Sportsman) - One hunt, Oct. 25-26. Two deer, no more than one antlered (bonus deer).

Deer (Gun) - One hunt, Oct. 31 - Nov. 2. One deer, buck only (bonus deer).

Deer (Gun) - One hunt, Nov. 29 - Dec 4. Two deer, buck only (bonus deer).

Im not sure but I wwould also be interested in knowing. Never hunted that area but its beautiful.

Seems correct. Some local guys told us about it year before last out there.
