Planted my food plots Saturday. Sure hope I get that chance of rain on Wednesday! Hate to see all that work and money spent go to waste. September is looking pretty dry this year. Anybody else plant in the last couple of weeks?

I had a great time yesterday getting your plots planted. It was great weather, despite it getting pretty dusty toward the end. I dont know how many times we changed implements, but my back feels everytime today!! here are a few pics. first few are cool as he took them from a tree stand.

Thanks Justin for getting my plots in for me! I hope you made a profit after you pay your fuel costs. I enjoyed the pictures posted of my plots also. My back and legs are sure soar from pulling roots and picking up rocks. Went back out there today and noticed the birds have already discovered it too. I sure hope it rains soon!

Anybody know how long my plot can go without rain before I should start to worry about it? I wonder if it is legal to dove hunt over it to keep the dove from eating my seed?

I planted ours 2 weeks ago right around the time we had a big rain. Mine has grown good, but its started to dry out. Luckly I can water mine from the pond in the woods.

Planted two plots on my Kingston property on Friday. I've got a few more to plant on my Morgan county property. Lord, please send the rain.

They are calling for rain next weekend up this way I think. We are planning on putting ours in the ground on Saturday in Morgan county.

planted 7 acres over this weakened and boy am i tired chance of a rain all week...hope everyone sees some rain soon

Me 2! I probably should have waited another week, but Justin "jmb4wd" has another planting job to do in Dickson. He spent two weekends at my place, I highly recommend him if you need food plots put in. I guess I will wash my truck tommorrow and see if that brings the rain!

Maybe we will all get a soaker on Wednesday, and then again about Sunday night after we all get done!! We can be hopeful cant we???

Still waiting on rain! The rain on Wednesday missed us. Hopefully the rain forcasted for Friday and Saturday will hit. I know the birds are loving it! Going to pray some more and wash my truck again!

Finished ours yesterday and looks like we are getting a shower right now. The ones in the bottom we planted on 8/28 are looking pretty good.
Had to get it done, as off to KS, WY & CO for 3 weeks next Friday!

Mine has been planted for 5 days now with no rain or sign of any growth. Really dry and dusty! Going to have to put up a scare crow I guess to keep the birds away. I can see my hard earned money and work slipping away, I mean flying away, LOL. Wonder how much them birds can eat anyways? Come on rain!
