What is your absolute favorite pot calls

I mainly run old school Cody (mid to late 90s), old school David Halloran (early 2000s), older Darrin Dawkins (2005-2010) and newer Lonzo pot calls (2015- current). With that said, I'd rather hunt a turkey rich hardwoods environment with a dollar general pot call than an area void of turkeys with a vest full of custom pots. Setup, sitting still and patience kills more turkeys than a bunch of pretty calling. Best of luck with your choices.

I carry a 1990s vintage glass Cody but honestly can't recall the last time I ran it working a bird.

I've got a bunch of them from some very good call makers but what do I actually hunt? Only 2….. and they are Gooserbat High Standard Crystal and Gooserbat stoned aluminum. They aren't all that pretty or fancy but they are flat out killers. Admittedly I am primarily a mouth call guy but I do use pot calls for striking and sometimes initially on set ups.

My old Halloran crystal mistress is my absolute favorite. Honorable mention is a hanks aluminum.

Yes it's in a persimmon pot. I'm not sure if he still makes calls, I got this one in 2017 and it's the first call out of my vest.

I have same pot in original packaging from Eddie, from around the same time period. I need to test drive it and possibly put it in the lineup.

I have to many to list, several expensive high dollar custom calls that i dont even carry, but ive killed a truck load of birds with an old primos power crystal i got when the first came out i mostly use houndstooth mouth calls and the ole power crystal

Old Halloran Crystal Mistress or Woodhaven Cherry Classic. Not sure how long ago or where I got it, but I run a down and dirty slate as well.

David Halloran fan here. The thing I like most about his calls is he doesnt pitch a hissy fit if I use a decoy. I actually had what I once considered a good friend throw an absolute shat fit because I sent him a pic of a buddy of mine with a gobbler her killed using a decoy! He said he wished he hadnt ever let one of his calls get in my hands! Ok, I bagged them up in a ziploc bag and left them with his bosses wife and asked her to see to it that he got them back. The old me would have busted them into 1000 pieces before returning them, but I aint like that no more.

While i agree i dont like decoys, its everyone's personal choice as long as their legal. I would have taped his calls up inside some decoys and stuck em up in front of his office, house wherever and left him a text telling him where he could pick up his calls

I use a Darin Dawkins dated 2/13 and an aluminum from Enticer Turkey Calls. Also have a David Halloran Crystal Mistress but haven't used it in a while.
