All right, I am getting the fever so let's see some horn porn. I am sure that we have saw them before, but I love seeing these threads. They never get old for me. How about post your top three biggest deer with a sentence or two about how he was killed. I will start..........

I killed this deer Thanksgiving week of 2011. He was chasing a doe at midday.

I killed this deer during first muzzleloader in 2008. I killed him right at dark as he was out cruising looking for does.

I killed this deer last year on the KY rifle opener. It was 70 degrees, but the bucks were on their feet. He was out cruising at around 9:00. Had to get him out before the flies carried him away since it was so hot. :)

Non-typical 12 point. 140 1/8th from 2009. Someone had shot him in the head with a load of #7 bird shot a couple years before to make that side deformed.

It was very cold and windy this day. My dad got cold and got out of his stand and jumped a doe that came my way. I told him that he jumped a doe and to go back in and run her out and I will bust her rear end. My dad take his coveralls off because he is hot and walks back in the woods. I am waiting for the doe when I look out in the field and this buck is smelling of my dad's clothes. Before he ran off I put him down a few feet from my dads coveralls.

Nov. 8. 2012 13 pointer. Killed both these deer from same stand.

Only killed 3 antlered bucks in my hunting career but this is the biggest I have killed body and mass wise. I killed a younger 8 pt with a bigger rack but less mass. This is the stud buck -

And this is the biggest I have found dead in the woods - bones had been sitting a while -

Also here is the 8 pt I mentioned above.

Edit - forgot to say a bit of how they were killed.

Buck #1 - 2012 - was dogging several does in thick undergrowth. A young buck behind me got his attention and he snort wheezed before stepping into an opening and took an arrow. Was not found till next morning.

Buck #2 was before I had even killed a deer. back in summer of 2010 I was looking around the woods because a nice albino buck lived there and I wanted pics. I found a bone pile and then that big skull.

Buck #3 - 2012 - was a 3.5 year old 8 pt with a mangled right back foot that made his left antler grow funny. He came by at dusk by himself and first I shot a tree. He was startled but came back and gave me a 20 yd broadside shot and I messed up again and put the arrow through his liver. However he didn't make it 120 yards and was stone dead when I found him.

Killed this one on a WMA cruising for does about 9:30 a.m.

#2 came from my honey hole after I blew a grunt tube he came running down from the thicket and he got stiff legged and the hair standing on his back. Field dressed 184 #

can't hunt there but did find a 150 class non typical skull in a place I can hunt.

My best overall my 2009 non typ 32 point. Sit on a bedding area from daylite to dusky dark. He was bedded in front of me all day long at ninty yds.

My first 8 point... I'm proud of him, he made my goal when I shot him. Now my goal is 3.5+ and 125+ After I get that goal I'll go 130+... just the way I am lol

btw-It was 2010 but the date is wrong.. My "actual" camera quit working a week before I killed him so I made use of that trail cam :)

And some people say TN can't grow nice bucks. There are some really great bucks posted here. Maybe not world-class, but sure enough "trophy" bucks.

Here are some of mine

I killed this guy the first time I ever hunted alone, he came in following a doe.

I Killed this one in 2011 Chasing a doe at 2pm

Killed this one last year at 7 yards leading a bunch of does.
All three of these bucks were killed on the same piece of public land.

Killed this one in 2002, i was 15 yrs old. This was the first mountable deer in our house between me, my dad or brother. 8pt


One on the right was killed in 06. 13pt non typical. Not huge but cool character so had to mount it. One on the left was killed in 2010. 8pt. I think he has the best looking rack out of all of my deer. Middle one is my browtine buck i got so obsessed with in 2011. Hes a 9pt and i was lucky enough to get him.


Here is my Tn 11pt i killed on opening day of bow this past season. Killed with a crossbow.


Here is my Ky 8pt i killed this past season during rifle. This is my 2nd best scoring wise.

This is by biggest bodied buck, caught him coming through a draw in Fayette County eating acorns, got him with a muzzleloader, he weighed in at 280 pounds and also had 11 and 11.5" g2s

This was also a Fayette County muzzleloader kill chasing does, he was 23" wide

This is my biggest overall, he grossed right at 140 as an 8 point, got him with a rifle chasing does in Fayette County

This was my wife's first good deer, Fayette County rifle kill

This is her biggest, another Fayette County buck

She also got this one in Fayette County last season

This is my biggest to date. He grossed just over 144....10 point, has over 13" G3's. This guy had does following him!!



This one I shot with my cross bow. 11 pointer that grossed 134




Hunted this old buck for 3 years. Has 25 points and 15 that score. He had been shot at 2.5 and survived. This deer was aged at 6.5. His brows are over 10"

Here is my biggest deer I killed him last year after my youngest boy missed a doe in a field with his muzzleloader & he stuck his head out to see who was messing with his does, shot him at 210.
