Compared to the other parts of the season?
Some folks have good success with them. My biggest deer came during post-rut (day after Christmas), but there are plenty that push more towards nocturnal hours. It has a lot to do with how much hunting pressure a particular deer gets, too.
One saving grace of the late season is that, when it gets really cold, it will encourage deer to get moving in the day time. Sometimes, that mid-day thaw will mean that the thermometer can dictate deer movement as much as the time on the clock.
That's usually the time of year when I camp out at a food plot (or a trail leading to it) in the evenings.
