He was a great buck this year , just messed up the only opportunity I had at him . Hoping he makes a mistake again next year and one of us can put a tag on him . Any score guesses ?

Good buck, I'd say he was all over 140" this year, with a good possibility of him pushing 150"+ next year. Good luck with him.
That was my original guess when I had the encounter with him during bow season . I did not know the deer was in the area( had not had a chance to run cameras ) . Watched a doe coming from the opposite direction down the ridge and heard a twig snap behind me . There he was , 5 yards . I was in between him and her and they were looking at each other . Had no way of getting my bow down without getting busted , but after a few minutes I tried anyway .

I told my stepdad he was right at 140 but had the frame to be higher , he just doesn't have the mass . Did not get a picture of him untill 2 days before season was over .

My encounter with him was the first day morning I hunted it .
That is typical with older mature bucks, you almost have to surprise them to get in range. Best of luck with him next fall. I'd be looking for his sheds in general area you have trail cam pic come late March/early April.

Assuming that his mass will increase with becoming more mature and if he adds some tine length that deer has potential to be a once in a lifetime buck! I agree with river925 that deer only looks like a 3.5yo!!! What was the date of the pic?

This particular picture was mid December I believe . We have around 60 pictures of him this year and I am almost 100% he is 3.5 . The morning I saw him I got a really good look at him , he was at 5-10 yards for around 5 minutes looking right at me . I was half way down a ridge on a bench and he was below me on the ridge watching the doe above me (and she was watching me ) .
