Poor man's Redfish...Watts Bar?

Anybody know someplace on Watts Bar that the carp are usually stacked thick? I love to catch those nasty things on a fly rod this time of year (willow flies).. Our usual place just upstream of where the TN comes into the Clinch is not producing. We are catching lots of bluegill and those nasty bass, but man, a twenty pound carp on a dry fly with a six weight rod along with a sandwhich and beer cannot be beat in the summer.

After cicadas willow flies are a tremendous disappointment for catching carp. Dean's old bank two years ago was absolutely stacked with crap gorging on Cicadas. I heard the willow flies are heavy around Chota right now on Loudon, but can't get fired up enough to go. The Cicada thing ruined willow flies for me.

we fished near chota(shady grove) saturday night and saw no-zero-nada willow flies.

I saw a bunch of nice carp between the Clinton Hwy bridge put in and the 61 bridge. Look for the sandy banks. Hundreds between the two bridges. This was yesterday. That is on the Clinch in Clinton.
