Poor guy. If the news of his demise is true. He is fixing to go to the 2nd most horrible job to coach at in the SEC. I would have thought he would have learned his lesson the first time dealing with a miserable bunch of jerks in the front office. He will never get the ALABAMA job now. May he RIP . I may have to jump on the FLK bandwagon now. LOL

I have a feeling that Auburn will love him.

He WILL be successful. He'll have to deal with Saban, what, 2 years max? By that time, he will have them poised to be fighting for the west with LSU.

I knew he didn't want the Bama job when he reacted the way that he did when we beat them. Plus, he did his time there, and there is no way that he could put up with them as the head man.

Exciting times.

Does Auburn announce him Friday to put a buzz in the Iron Bowl? How awesome would it be if he were on the Auburn sidelines Saturday :D ?

Auburn job is just as good as bama, heck Tennessee and Auburn have the best record against bama than any other 2 teams

Would a kid that he's recruiting really care which school he's at? I would think they go to where the successful coaches are. Unless there's a pay raise involved

When has he ever been successful as a head coach at any level? What makes you assume he will be successful at a school whose board of trustees controls their football program, much the way things happen at Texas, and who has back to back 10 win seasons exactly ONE time in the program's entire existence?

Ranking top coaching jobs is very subjective, but I don't think I have ever seen a list that included Auburn in the top 20 and nearly all of them I have ever seen have Alabama in the top 5.

Live podcast on YouTube right now is mentioning the TCU and Oregon coaches as replacements.

They're also worried about which players will transfer to Auburn with him.

Hey now, they just mentioned Heupel. They said that as much as they love Kiffin, he didn't have that signature win :D !

Players transferring is another factor now that you didn't have to worry about a few years ago.

Just about every list I have seen has ALABAMA as the #1 job in College football. auburn is usually in the lower 16 to 20's hanging right around the same neighborhood as tn. Not saying alot about either program. NOT a elite program.

I hope he's just playing the game to leverage more money from ole miss. Their expectations are more reasonable of him

THIS is what I am thinking. UP that contract that is sitting on his desk and squeeze them for a little more money till the ALABAMA jobs open ups down the line. Or he could be trolling. Who knows. Guess we will find out Friday Morning.

I would definitely rank the TN head coaching job higher than Auburn. Tennessee is the State school with vast financial resources and historically known for the ability to recruit nation-wide. I'd put TN just outside of the top 10. Auburn around 20th.
