Is it too late to spray my food plots with Poast to kill the grass?
Also, do you mow the fields first and then spray, and what is the mixture rate for the Poast?

It should say on the label the mixture rate, but no, its never too late to herbicide (although try to avoid high stress periods such as drought) The second question you asked is usually a toss up, at this stage of the game I would say you are definitely better off spraying first, waiting two weeks, then mowing.
 
It should be ok thru most of this month..........
for sure. If temps get very high and dry for an extended period of time then there is precautions for that if i remember correctly. Temps above 85 i believe.

Also if you only need a small amount the co-op sells a grass killer......Labeled "grass killer".....with the same active ingredient as poast and arrest but cheaper than both the last time i made a purchase......The active ingred to look for is Sethoxydim......
 
Its also a good idea to get the large quantity of sethoxydim at coop. I bought enough to treat 4 acres this year for 108$.
