Food Plots Plot rejuvenation (newbie)

I planted clover and winter wheat last year for the first time ever. The fields did very well and looked great by this spring. The fields where not mowed until recently due to tractor failure so the grass was real high. I know clover goes dormant in the heat and evidently is supposed to come back strong. I checked and the fields still have an ample amount of clover in them. I'm a newbie to this so I need advice.

1) I know there is a spray that I can spray that kills grass but not the clover, what is it and where do I get it?
2) Since the grass is so thick, is it a good idea to drag a disc over it or not?
3) Since the wheat is seasonal and the clover looks sparse, can I just overseed with more clover and wheat? Drag a disc first or will it mess up what I have?
4) Any thing else for me to overseed with that would work better.

Clethodim is the chemical you're looking for.

If it was me, I'd mow, then spray. Then I'd broadcast wheat and annual rye into it.

I've got same issue in one of my plots, I mowed about 10 days ago, sprayed clethodim this past weekend, and am planning to lightly disc then seed around end of month once clethodim does its job, takes about two weeks with clethodim. I got mine from rural king.

The plot madness has began for me as well. Have some of our annual plots in same situation as yours, thanks to abundant rain this summer (not complaining though). We mowed them close three weeks ago, sprayed them a week later and disked them this past weekend. Will wait a couple more weeks for weed seed to germinate, then spray again. Then they will be ready to prep & plant.

A lot of folks skip the second spraying and I have too before, and usually regretted it later... However if grass is as thick as you described, you might want to consider it.

I even nuked two long time clover plots this year with Gly due to all the grass and will do the complete process as described. Even mowing & spraying with Clethodim this spring & summer, I just could not get a handle on the grass. Sometimes it's just easier to start over a fresh.

Spray your clethodim early. Lots of the grass you're fighting right now is crabgrass and goosegrass. These have already set seed for next year. Spraying may wither them up, but you're better off to spray your clethodim in May on summer grasses so they never have a chance to crowd your clover in the first place.
