Where do you all think the Vols will be placed at?Just a wild guess by me but I'm thinking around 10th!!

Just not that excited about it since there's still a lot of games left. And really not sure why they put it out so early.

But, it is nice to be in the conversation. Who would have imagined this 4 yrs ago?

You're prob right. I wasn't thinking about the power 4 conference "suspected" winners get first four spots. So I think it will be closer to your prediction
With this being considered, Texas likely has the 5 spot unless it's Ohio state.

BYU prob gets 12 spot

7-11 who knows

As far as the weekly rankings that come out, I don't think conference affiliation or position in the power 4 conferences comes into play. (I'm reading the OP as where UT would be ranked in this first week's playoff committee standings.)

Number 7 it is

I watched the Indiana Game and they looked Stoked. I think they should be ranked above vols and PSU. After ALABAMA beats LSU things will look much different I suspect. BYU remaining Schedule looks fairly easy so they could go undefeated.

Just pack it in and start over next year bro. Y'all irrelevant.

I can maybe see Indiana ahead of PSU. The committee puts a lot of weight into the strength of schedule taking into consideration only the games that have been played. Indiana has played one team that currently has a winning record (at home against Washington). They will get a chance to jump up when they play Ohio State (and maybe Michigan but not so much?).

ETA: Just to be clear, I'm basing this on this week's rankings (games played up to now like the committee does). I don't think Indiana should be ahead of UT; I can see them being ahead of PSU.

Michigan is a 6 win team as they finish the year at Ohio st. And will probably get beat down.

Washington has at Penn state, and at Oregon left on schedule.

It's very possible Indiana ends the year with their best win being over a 6 win team at home. Not sure the committee will take that over a two loss SEC team, that has a win over a top 15 opponent. So Indiana needs that Ohio st game badly.
