Anybody shoot powerbelt platinums in 270gr and if so what are your opinions about them. Just bought a new optima i was wanting to try out some new loads. thanks.

That's the same load I shoot in my Encore and have shot several deer at 200 and at 20 to 39 yards. Shot a doe last year at around 25 yards as she was walking towards me. The bullet went in through the chest area and out through her side. At 200 yards that sounds about right. If you were to take a 20yrd shot w/that load your results would be vastly different I believe. Most people-especially here in TN don't shoot 200 yards regularly. Most are under 100 yards. And w/a 150g charge and a PB, that's asking for trouble. Again, individual results may vary but this is what I find to be the common results.
