whats everyones thoughts on the rut on the plateau? still going on or is it over? I seen alot of rut activity during the first week of muzzy but I aint seen any since. Im begining to think we are on the extreme tail end of the rut or its over. I hope to catch a horney old buck in the morning looking for that last hot doe.

I saw a small six run three does off, but he didn't follow them just did his own thing. Saw a lone buck off in a field Tuesday in the rain. I think the first week of muzzleloader was prime.
 
just now starting to see rut activity where we hunt in scott co. my buddy shot a 6pt this morning with a doe and called him in with a buck roar.
 
well i may have been wrong. had 2 does come through this morning and then 15 mins later had a spike come through nose to the ground frantically trailing them. you could see the urgency in his actions. lol
