I'm several weeks into a logging project and have started cleaning up/prepping roads to plant. I'm leaning toward marshall ryegrass + clover but thought I'd ask here for suggestions as well. Any got a good grass recommendation?

As long as it is annual ryegrass and not perennial ryegrass. Perennial ryegrass can spread and spread fast.

I'd do clover and wheat. Rye grass even if annual will reseed itself. With wheat or oats you get the benefit of cover for clover but it won't be hard to get rid of later and deer like eating it.

three options; Winter wheat with straw on top, old round bale hay unrolled with wheat, or cereal rye. You might have to spray unwanted weeds with hay later. I have done a bunch of this with marginal success of a pretty stand of green, good at little erosion. A lot of work.
