I planted my garden about a week or so ago in a new spot. I'm afraid the dirt's not real good. would it hurt the plants if i dig them up and get a scoop or two of good dirt and replant?

Well i dug up everything. Wasn't bad cause the paper pots they came in were still intact. Got a scoop of good dirt and replanted. They seem to be doing better, just hope they continue

get rid of those paper pots, or at least rip out the bottoms of them. They will decompose, but not as fast as the roots will grow.

Yeah, those "soluble" peat or paper pots aren't worth crap. I've pulled them out in their entirety at the end of a season.

Try a little 6-12-12 fertilizer mixed in your soil.

Fertilize tomatoes when you plant them, but not againt till fruit is the size of a half dollar.
