I see where everyone has spraied their plots and some have even planted.
We haven't even had a chance to spray our plots much less disc and plant.
What is the latest you can plant Turnips in Hardeman county?
Is it not to Hot and Dry?
We are going to try and get up there the weekend of September 11th, to spray.
Or should we just skip the spraying part, and just disc and plant since we seem to be running late?
Turnips will be a late season plot anyway, but we are planning to plant rape or something with them.
What would someone suggest?

Thanks for any info!!

no spraying here and planting this weakened. Month of sept. should bring some rain. Been too dry to plant in my area

Planted 13 plots on Sat, and had rain all day Sun! Will do the remaining ones in front of the next rain system, whenever that is...

Plan on planting most of mine the weekend of the 11th, if the forecast calls for rain that next week. I like to plant right before a forecasted rain. I have been known to be out in the field spreading seed while it is raining :)

Any time in sept is good to plant.....I dont get in a hurry to do it before the 10.....
I like it to cool down before even getting serious. this has worked for us for 8 years.

I always plant according to the signs. Farmers almanac
has this weekend - 11th as best above ground crop day.

Root crops are different. If you are going saturday disc
and plant same day.
