Ok so i picked up some white oak acorns that had fail on the ground. Gathered thirty or so and did the water test and picked out fhe floaters and got rid of them. I then put them in a bag and put a bunch of damp moss in the bag and put in the fridge. So when should i plant these in pots?

Plant white oaks immediately. They sprout as soon as they get good moisture on them. That's part of why deer eat them so quickly-if they don't they miss out on the acorns.

I would also pick some more up during October. Early-falling acorns are often surplus that were "aborted" to divert resources to the remaining crop. Not saying they won't come up, just that they aren't completely mature.

I've seen them planted in sections of PVC pipe (filled with soil), and kept in a greenhouse over-winter. They did great.
