Mullin aka lambs ear. prolific, invasive but easily terminated.

It likes the same circumstances as thistle as I often find them in close proximity.

That little yellow flower is a cool season (buttercup) that is very prolific, invasive as ever and will outcompete many early season annuals. It is considered toxic to rumenants. Kill it early with roundup, kill it late with a wick, if no other option mow it short!

The Mullin showed up in the yard about a month ago at the base of a pine tree stump. Kind of an interesting plant.
That buttercup has taken over a lot of fields in W TN!
