Have seen several older Knights with ROUGH barrels that group fine. Only way to find out if CVA will do it is give 'er a try.
 
Like most everyone has said shoot it and see how it does. It might surprise you and group ok but those pitted barrels are nothing but aggravating to clean up. All the other options I can think of arn't too cost effective.

You might check out ebay or one of the gun auction sites. Sometimes I see good used barrels on them.

And I have one that does just that. I kept that bore clean and oiled, and I still have pits that have formed. Still shoots good tho. I'm sure at some point it will affect accuracy tho. :(
