Pistol at oak ridge scout

Can anybody tell me if you can carry your pistol on the oak ridge scout date.I have a carry permit.Pretty much just worried about bears and such.thanks

Legally no, read the back of your map that they sent you for special regs. The DOE is very firm with some rules, remember that they control the property, TWRA only manages the hunts. Don't forget your blaze orange for scouting, it is a requirement on scout days too. Hope you find good sign, I'll be there at daylight myself.

No need to worry about bears there. Might be a handful but no real numbers. I would worry about security a lot more lol
