Anyone hunted for pigeons? I hear most farmers are glad to have you come shoot the pests off their barns. I haven't found a place yet with pigeons to ask. I'd love to shoot some, and hear they are really good eating, especially the squabs in the nest. To clarify, I would not eat one from the city. I would eat one out on a farm however, where they don't eat garbage all day. They don't carry all the diseases that they are known for, all they can carry are a couple including bird flu, which many other birds can carry as well. So to put the misconceptions aside, I'd love to shoot a few for the table and was wondering who else shoots em. If you are in the williamson county area and know of a farm that has em, and the location isn't secret of course, shoot me a PM or something if you think the farmer wouldn't mind or whatever. I got to do some driving I guess, I can spot pigeons in the air from the car while driving so I guess I could find a spot or two just by driving around for a while.
