I about had my arm broken by a fish on the rock bank with the light on it in the background of your 1st 2 pics. The fish ended up breaking my line after about a 5 second fight. Glad you did well. I get my boat back from the shop on Sat, so here in the next few weeks I plan on making a trip to the Hollar.

kimberman,,I had a heck of a run over there and set the hook good,,it pulled alot of drag and I finally got him turned and it broke off,,wrapped around a tree root,,5 pound fish easy

Nice fish. I have sat on that very spot on many summer nights drowning crawlers about 25-35 feet and pulling up some good trout. Gotta be comfortable with fishing deep water there.

I was actually free lining big sucker minners,,it was pretty slow and I put a split shot on and let it go down about 65 feet,in 80 feet of water,,just holding the line between my fingers,,whaen it took off it went down and out,,I would say when I set the hook it had well over 100feet of line out maybe 130,,it took quite a while to get him up and every time he seen the boat back down he went,,netted him 3rd trip up.

he swallowed the hook but wasn`t bleeding any so we cut the line and let him keep the hook,,hopefully it`ll go on through..

crickets is about all the bait I ever BUY..

I Understand.....And I have never heard of a crawfish for sale either....for bait that is. I do not know if it was just the way the photo was taken but those looked like monsters. Shoot...I think I would have paid for crawfish that size!! Thanks for the pictures!

Not sure where you put in at, but from other pics I have a good idea. I miss seeing Jack sitting there on his stool looking out the window since i moved away.
