Went to Gander with the intention of buying the Browning A5 Hunter they had on sale. In my hands the stick just felt cheap and the receiver needed some bit of engraving. The A5 fits me really well, and there's a lot to be said for that, but I already have an A5 in Bottomland camo and just could t make myself buy the Hunter model when I wasn't really in love with it.

Then I spotted the Silver Pigeon 12g. The price was better than any deal I could find online by a good margin (even after tax). I had to have it!

They sure look very nice, congratulations on fine choices.

Actually feeling a bit envious, they are beautiful.

I hunted pheasant outside Fresno California in of all places a cotton field with this guy who had an O/U like that. He let me shoulder it and it was a very sweet pointing weapon, it was miles better than my 1100. So I went to buy one and after I recovered from fainting when I saw the price I kind of left very quietly.
I eventually got a Spanish-made O/U but my shooting didn't get any better.

I was invited on a pheasant hunt in South Dakota a few years and had the same experience. A guy was using a O/U and I shot some clays with it. I knew I had to have one.

I sold a couple other guns I didn't use as much to afford these. I think it was worth it - although, like you said, I'm not sure I shoot any better!
