First time ever to try pheasant hunting in South Dakota, having a blast so to speak. Lots of birds!

Group I am with from Georgia did not lose a wounded bird, guide has a little female lab that is a trooper. No hens shot either, guys are carful with their gun handling.

Very plesurable hunt all the way around, and two more days to go!

I am second from right, back row.

I have been to Brown Co. SD the last few years, but had to sit this year out, but Im like you. After the first time, youll be hooked. Just got back from SD about two weeks ago, and the weather was really strange. Corn was still green, beans just starting to be harvested, but a lot can change in two weeks. How the weather??

Highs in the 60's, lows mid 40's yesterday and today, wife says it was colder back home than here, go figure! Started raining about 5:30, really cold wind blowing, supposed to be cooler tomorrow. They have really been after the harvest the last two weeks, but still a lot of standing corn and beans. Been too wet for them to get it all saved.

This was the last field we hunted. Started at 12:30 we had our limits at 2:00. I can not remember the last time I had this much fun. Weather was perfect for the three days I was there, it was raining and starting to spit snow this moring as we flew out, we hit it perfect!
