well I went and put it on FB too, really takes little to no time to sign, hope people take this seriously and the Corps might listen

I know this has been much talked about and posted previously, but it is a very important issue that needs to be "top of mind" for every Tennessee Valley fisherman.

I hope you'll join me in signing the online petition opposing the Corps of Engineers closure of Cumberland River tailwater fisheries. Details and the link to the online petition here: http://www.nooga.com/159372/corps-of-en ... e-mistake/

And I would invite you to take the following paragraph, copy & paste it onto your Facebook profile for all to see please.

Please join me OPPOSING a closure of Cumberland River Dam tailwater fisheries by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. You can attend public meetings and/or sign an online petition opposing this colossal bureaucratic mistake of epic proportions. Details here: http://www.nooga.com/159372/corps-of-en ... e-mistake/ SHARE this with your friends please.

Thanks. If the Corps continues on its current course, you'll soon be seeing barriers like these beneath every Cumberland River dam and who knows, it could give TVA some ideas?

Nashville Boat Show
The 2013 Nashville Boat Show will be held January 10-13 at the Nashville Convention Center. Please be sure to visit the Corps of Engineers at Booth 222 to learn about the latest lake and water safety information.

If your going to the boat show, stop by the booth and let them know you do not agree with or support their plan to restrict fishing below our dams.

The USACOE meeting scheduled for tonight in Nashville has been postponed due to weather concerns.

I got a reply letter from Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama. He is a member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works which has jurisdiction over many programs of the Army Corp of Engineers. He said he had instructed his staff to follow the issue and had contacted Senator Alexander as well. Hearing from you guys might help as well....: www.sessions.senate.gov

TVA is not considering to do it at any dams. There saying the corps of engineers says its a safety issue. It's going to be rolled over till next week a senator from Somerville wants to hear from the Corps of engineers. There side of the story to speak since there wasnt any members from them there today so i guess next week you will all know what happens.
