I'm not one to usually post my kills online, but this one I have to brag about.
23 pounds, 9 1/2 inch beard, 1-7/16 and 1-1/2 inch spurs. He was stubborn and didn't want to come to my calls, but curiosity killed this bird. Here is my personal best.

Update:
Just picked him up from the taxidermy and I am pleased with his work.

Just curious - when did you kill him?
I often wonder if there is any correlation to longer spurs the later in the season?

Great job Coker! Good to see your face again, it's been way too long. You don't look any different than you did in college. Time has been good to you. 👍

You need to schedule an appointment asap with an optometrist. 😂

Only kidding! @Coker is a good one. Known him since we were kids playing baseball at Rotary Park in Hermitage. He also called in the first turkey I ever killed on my great grandparents farm when we were in college. Did you go to Tech too?

I was thinking the same thing. He's found the Fountain of Youth.

Yep, we were both at Tech together. He was actually at Lipscomb playing baseball and I was at Cumberland doing the same, so we competed against each other for a while. Then we both transferred to Tech about the same time and spent a lot of time together there as undergrads in Wildlife & Fisheries. Coker and I did a good bit of deer hunting on his uncle's farm I believe near Gainesboro as well. You need to ask Coker about our days playing intramural softball too at Tech. ;)
And I can't forget to mention RS as we all went to school together at Tech. RS and I still talk on a regular basis.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. We've all had some good times together for sure. Glad to see everybody is doing well.
I'm getting that bird mounted and might have to take out a small loan to do so.😂 Prices have definitely increased over the years

Time mighta been good to Coker but Coker ain't been good to me!!! I do everything I can to be nice to him and he treats me like dirt!!!! 😲🤦🏻🤣 Nice bird 💩head!
I only give you a hard time because you're one of my good friends. Imagine how I treat those that I don't like.😂

We may have crossed paths then. I was there 91 to 95 and played baseball my freshman year which was spring 92.

Yep, we probably did cross paths then! My last year playing ball was Spring 92 and we played Tech. I transferred that Fall and gave up my last year of eligibility to pursue my career. Good times! 👍
