I had a farmer give me permission to hunt his farm after a couple calves were killed by coyotes. A week later one of his cows dies. We decide on a good spot to leave it for wind and such to kill the nasty critters. So after a couple days the coyotes are feeding on it and all looks great. Two days ago I go out to my spot and all I hear is chain saws and log splitter running. I figured no big deal they will quit long before dusk. Well I was wrong. They worked till after dark. I go out this morn and set up at around 6:10 and am anxious for shooting light. I see nothing for a while. At 7:15 I hear the log splitter crank up and the chain saws rev to full tilt. Damn!! I go check the carcass and it looks like it hasn't been touched for days. These are some hard core loggers. working sun up to sun down. Went by this eve and they were still sawing away. What a bummer. I was so stoked I figured to kill a few off this set up now not so much.
