I hunted Percy Sunday evening. Lots of hunters. I heard multiple shots. Didn't see anything although I did hear a few deer blowing not far from me.

I've been hunting Priest for many years and I've noticed a severe upswing in pressure over the last several years, but this year is by far the worst. I've not had a shooter doe in front of me yet on Priest—only fawns and year old bucks. I've seen way more people than deer, and I'm moving to parts of the WMA I've not been on in 20 years, and even driven over an hour to other WMA's it's gotten so bad. People are knowingly parking in adjoining land owner's yards to get access, parking 6 deep to hunt a 4 acre section, parking halfway out in the road, etc... There is a reason why Priest is in the Top 5 of pressured WMA's across the entire State, this year I bet it will easily sail into the Top 3.

Are any of you hunting from a boat?

Sounds like hunting pressure definitely has gone up out there over the last several years. I used to hunt Unit 2 (Murfreesboro side of Smyrna) when I was at MTSU about 6 years ago. I would go during the week when I didn't have class (or would skip class) and might get lucky to see one or two hunters during archery and muzzleloader season. Once gun season opened there would be a little more hunting pressure, but not much.

I've hunted Priest pretty hard this year during bow season and only have seen 2 other hunters but I primarily hunt during the week days. Think I saw one other guy during muzzleloader. Now that gun has opened; holy crap! The orange army is out there! I'm taking the week off, gonna stack up some husband points at home and then hit the woods again after all the thanksgiving rut hunters have had their way with the woods.

My experience has been a bit different than what y'all are describing. I'm not sure why but I've hunted Priest a bunch this year and have only run in to two other hunters. Both had their son with them and couldn't have been nicer. I did have one hunt ruined by squirrel hunters but no big deal. It's public, they had as much right to be there as I did. Shot a decent 8 early in the year and have passed up 3 different bucks over 100" since then. I'm tagged out now so I'm just hoping they make it through the season.

Lots of deer and I believe the pressure has eased from when I hunted there all the time. The times I have been this year, I have not seen a hunter and no vehicles where I like to park. I have not killed any deer, a super good buck is in one spot I hunt and holding out on shooting anything, hoping to get a chance at him.

I hunted all bow season and went once during ML. things just didn't work out for me this year. Every time i had deer coming in they would zig when i needed them to zag. Just never presented a shot. i saw no other hunters on my hunts. I did see one decent 8 pt, but he was behind me in some thick stuff and I couldn't get a shot.

My brother goes with me one time, i put him in the tree I was gonna climb and he shoots a doe
