Flame me all you want, but I just don't care anymore. If I purchased food based on those whose opinions were in line with mine, I'd likely not have much to eat. Bill Penzey is a nutjob, and I disagree with everything he says. But his company sells spices that make my food taste better. Honestly, I'm completely worn out with all this political garbage, and I yearn for a day when people could conduct their lives without somehow tying it to a story they saw on CNN or Fox News. There aren't many things in my life that I obsess over, but food is one of them. I'm not interested in sacrificing my day-to-day life because the opinion of some dude I've never met, about another dude I've never met, regarding circumstances I have no control over. Chances are, the super conglomerate that owns McCormack spices probably donated to Hillary.

It's your wallet to do with what you will, and I sincerely hope you can find a better alternative. Penzey's really hacked me off when they abruptly closed the store that was 10 minutes from my house. Say what you will about Trump & his voters, or Hillary and her voters, but Bill Penzey put a number of people out of work himself....and I can't abide that, and won't order online from them. Once they open their Memphis location again, I'll be back.

I supported John's Pantry as long as I could, but ultimately, he couldn't keep it afloat.

I really liked talking with him. He lives just around the corner from where my shop is in Frayser.

I suspect his location ultimately doomed him. It was hard to get in, impossible to get out of, and had way too small of a storefront to catch the eye of casual passersby on Gtown Parkway
