Pentax optics

Trying to decide on a scope for my Savage 10ML and I really don't have alot of money to spend on a scope..Probably around $200. I was gonna go with a new redfield revolution 3x9x40,but I recall hearing some folks talk about pentax gameseeker line of scopes on here,they seem to be priced right in line with the redfields. So whats the skinny on pentax rifle scopes? Are they worth it?

There are better choices for the money like the vortex viper and Burris fullfield II.

I've looked through the GameSeekers mounted on rifles. For $69 they would be ok for rimfire but I wasn't impressed. You can get a lot better in your price range.

you will love the redfield you will not be dissapointed

I have a redfield 3x9x40 on my .223 for predator hunting and I really like the scope no compaints so far.

all the pentax i have seen did not have enough eye relief to suit me

Redfield is made in the USA, the others are not

Maybe I misunderstood some folks on the pentax line of scopes..Guess i'll stick with redfield..I have one of the redfield revolutions on my 30-30 and really like it.

Pentax Lightseeker scopes are nice glass, the Gameseeker line is their cheapest line.

I had two ,I liked them ok but nothing to write home about,go with the Redfield or a Burris.Tons better. Now if you were to say Lightseeker. Ahhh

I've got one on a rifle I bought used. Basically got the scope for free. Seems to be worth just a touch more than free, but not much.
