I had a new string and cables put on my bow,the peep came back good the first 6 or 7 shots but now it don't. I'm constantly having to twist it and then i'm lucky if it comes back to where I can see through part of it.Any suggestions?

I would imagine it's the string settling . It will have to be reset . Where are you located ? Take it back to the shop and have them fix it .

Cleveland,Tn I need to find the closest pse shop.Sneaky's shut down and I had it at Turks before they shut down but they didn't know anything about it tuning it,They was good on my sons Bow-Tech but when it came to my PSE they was at least honest and said they didn't know.Any PSE shops around?

Try Benton Shooters I don't know if they sale PSE but they should be able to fix that.

Cool video,Thanks
This could fix it but the only thing I would be worried about would be timing . If your strings or cables are settling you need to check your timing again to make sure everything is still in time . If you were around Knoxville I wouldn't care to help ya . I don't know who is a PSE dealer around your area though .

Thanks if I'm up your way I will give you a yell ,Kids mom lives up there so I'm actually up that way some but I need to find a PSE dealer, maybe I'll try Dalton, GA.

This was the number one reason I went peepless.....now I have no regrets...field of view doubles and I can shoot up to 20 minutes longer into the evenings

If you are shooting a "d" loop just twist the loop around till it allows the peep to come back square. If not then if you haven't ever taken the peep out and turned it around yourself then I would go to a pro shop. It doesn't have to be a PSE dealer shop to re-set a peep. Really the best way thing to do is learn to do all your own work. It will save the headache in trying to find a shop, waiting till they are open and it will give you the satisfaction on knowing you fixed it yourself. Pretty soon all your buddies will be wanting you to fix their bows. If you decide you want to go this route , there are several guys on here that will glad to help walk you through the process.

Good tip , if your center serving is served with halo your d loop could be spinning . Can you post a picture from the back while the bow is at rest that shows your d loop and peep ?

I'll try to post a pic but a PSE doesn't sit in a normal bow press ,it jumps out of the press. The Bow shop that put the cable and string on said it took 3 people to put the cables and strings on.It actually jumped out the bottom when I was there and upon further close inspection of my cams after getting home it left a flat spot on both sides. On one cam though it actually rolled the lip leaving a burr and its turned in toward the string. What started as a peep ? Has turned in to something else .I had already wrapped the "d" loop and when I pulled it back I could see thru half the peep,I was holding it examing everything when I seen the spot on the cam.I let off and looked and both cams have flat places where they was I guess hitting the Press.Kind of upset guys if you know what I mean,I was gonna take it back to the bow shop but I got off work late and to tell the truth ,Don"t know if I want them doing anything else to it.

I'm kind of embarrassed for whoever worked on your bow . That is terrible . A PSE can be pressed in an EZ Press but you have to know what your doing and be careful . I have never had an issue with any PSE past parallel limb bow . I would for sure take it back to that shop and make them fix everything . Any decent bow shop should have inspected the damage after a bow slips out of a press . And should pay for it to be fixed .

I tell you what , if you go to the shop and they won't fix it . Give me a call and I will fix it for you for no labor and get you the parts at cost . Send me some pictures of that burr on the cam also . 865-684-6035 . A burr in the cam track can be catastrophic and dangerous .

Yes I got them , sorry for the slow response I'm at work . Ya you can tell it is already eating through the serving . I would take it back to them and tell them to fix it . I also wouldn't shoot it . Luckily you seen it before it got through the serving .

BH163 is right—don't shoot it because that is a disaster in the making! I would either have them fix it, or agree to pay to have it fixed by someone that is familiar with them and the proper way to press them.

Hey thats cool ,it was slow on my end.It took me a minute to get the pics posted but I understand the whole work scenario too.Really I'm split on taking it back to that shop, more scared of the shape it might come back in.Not that I have money to throw away but I'd rather take it somewhere else and pay for it to be done right.Going to work

I would at least go down there and demand they pay for the parts . Like I said before , if you will bring it to Knoxville I will get you the parts for cost and put everything on for you .

If the pro shop done this to your bow they would pay and fix it while I stood over them with a big stick. If it is a new bow and they done it I wouldn't give them the first dime. It is the shop's responsibility to have competent employees hired to the work. If not then they could just use a chimpanzee to do it. I don't know the shop or the owners but they would fix it or I'd have somebodies hind end. That is why I recommend doing your own work. Here's a story for you......I had a PSE SR-1000. Had had it for a couple of years. While getting ready for hunting season and shooting broadheads the bow blew up. They had since come out with a new harness system and Teflon coated cams. I wanted it. I called and talked to them told them what I wanted. new limbs and new harness system. Limbs were covered but new cams weren't. They told the cost. So I boxed up the bow and sent it to PSE. I got the bow back in record time and in time to hunt with it. But I couldn't get the bow to tune. Set the tiller and it wouldn't hit the same place twice. Get it hitting and the tiller would be so out it was scary. I got it hitting halfway decent and hunted with it. Lucky I didn't even pull the bow back that year. After season was over I broke the bow down and took it plumb apart. Found out the limbs didn't match. I called and told them what I had found. Their first question was if I was a PSE dealer. Then they told me as long as the limbs were within 6 numbers of deflection they were ok. I said I don't think so. They said if you're not a dealer the warranty is void. I said it may be but I'm no dummy. I said I am boxing this bow up and shipping it to you. I will call you in a week to check on the status of the bow. I did just that. Well I had a 60 # limb on top and a 70# limb on the bottom. They replaced everything....limbs, new cams, new strings and even refunded my money from the original work they had done. Every one makes mistakes but when they do they need to stand behind them. I am still shooting a PSE to this day.
Bowhunter163 is a good guy and will fix you right up. If you need anything else just holler at us.
