passed on freezer meat..anyone else?

I'm a meat hunter and passed on a little 3 pt..I hope I get a better opportunity to harvest a buck this season. I usually don't pass on meat in east tennessee.

Passed on a little spike this morn. Then when I decided to stand up a big doe was under the stand. She ran into the tree I was in.

Passed a big fork horn and 3 does yesterday morning mainly because of the bucks that I know are there.

I'll only process one this year. In bow season I'll pass on anything that isn't a wall hanger. I'm not fooling with field dressing a doe in this heat when I can easily take one in rifle season when it's cold.

Passed a young 6 pt opening day on Priest. Of course he couldn't be thankful and walked right up to my tree and kinda spooked.

Let a small buck go yesterday morning being the only deer I saw all wknd. But I'm glad I did trying for the big boys. But the does better look out. Lol

Had a small 6 at 15 yards but no shot at him, had a limb in the way that I took care of when I climbed down, and then passed on a good momma doe that had a fawn that still had spots with her about an hour after he went through.

Didnt want to use one of the 2 buck tags this early in the season unless it is a big boy.

Exactly my thought process. Cooler weather will be here soon enough.
I was out both mornings and saw a lot of does and fawns, most coming right past my stand at 15yds.

Had 3 doe and a fawn within 10-30 yards for about 45 mins after the rain stopped sat morn...I think right now might be my best opportunity to take a mature buck so I'm gonna get meat in smoke pole and rifle season

I had a little fawn buck still in spots lie under my stand then follow me half way out when I left. I think Mama had just pushed him away from the herd and he was lonely. Then when I was checking my camera two does were there, walked around the corner at 15 yards and waited for me to leave. See proof (partial anyway) below. I ain't quite that hungry yet. There has to at least be some sport involved Lol. They love the trophy rock. The Truth Cam only shows the full moon tonight and not that creepy, but cool eclipse.

I aint passing freezer meat if it's a doe but will pass little bucks. I am itching to get something though cause of the new butcher room and slicer, it's about time for some more jerky

Nice, I just have a garage, coolers, a table and some knives. I also use a saws-all with a new blade for quartering. Kind of serial killer I know but man does it get the job done in a hurry...........Clarise.

a lot of young bucks passed this weekend, and people provided the pics to prove it. i can't help but believe that the 2 buck limit had a lot to do with that. also some very nice deer killed, i guess we got to give a little credit to last years 3 buck limit for that

I think for everyone, it will be in the back of your mind that if you take a buck now, there is only one more left. Kind of forces you to leave your options open.
