Turn out the lights the season is over. Always glad to see it end but in the same breath can't wait for another one to open.

I was more excited about this season than any I have ever seen since I started duck hunting.
It was by far the most disappointing.
Probably gonna do alot more fishing next year, or deer hunting, depending on weather.

Was a miserable duck season for us, and it should have been a great one. We had a draw blind at Reelfoot, and a draw blind a Camden. Reelfoot blind might have barely broke 100 birds downed, Camden blind did better, but ended with around 270(and 80 of those were opening weekend). Oh well, better luck next year. Gonna get our private blinds on KY Lake up to snuff this spring and see what next season has to offer. Couldn't hunt the one blind on Ky Lake this year, boat port somehow got ripped off and flipped over out in front of the blind. Hope it's still there so we can try to get it right, otherwise we are rebuilding it again.

Had a fun season. Hunted 3 states with old and new friends. Never had a barrel burner hunt, but had some decent shoots.
I came home one day midseason griping to my wife about not killing any ducks and she had to straighten me back out. Her exact words were "If you're not having fun when you go, then I would much rather you not spend so much money and time doing it." Reeled me back in to realizing that it's not all about the numbers. So I finished the season with a better attitude and a rejuvenated outlook on duck hunting.

It was an amazing season, our clubs best. We worked hard and managed the ice well and it paid off we took limits most days. Can't wait to do it again

First year for me, won't be my last though! What gets me is the last 3 days were the best. I hate to see it end when it just was finally coming together and starting to work out. I can't wait until next season a couple private spots will hopefully bring me some luck and also hoping to book a hunt or 2 in west tn. I can't believe it never struck me to try duck hunting before I've seriously been missing out.

Was pretty bad for us. Think I went 10 times and only limited out opening weekend. I took my 5 year old on his first hunt yesterday. Made it all worth it watching him blow a call and wanting to be like daddy.

There are lots and lots of new hunters out there...thanks to Phil, uncle Si, and the rest of the crew. The good to this is that there are a lot of new comers spending a lot of money, and as long as folks are spending money the sport will hopefully thrive for a long time. The flip side is that there is a lot more inexperienced competition which makes hunts more challenging for everyone no matter the skill level.
All in all, I just thank God for the resources and ability to go on a handful of hunts every year, no matter how many ducks I harvest.
