Pack frame advice?

I've packed deer out using my Badlands 2200 which is also my daypack. I remember seeing where trealtree has packed deer out also, and I think he uses a Badlands 2800. I could be wrong though. My issue with using a pack frame is that they are noisy, bulky, and you still need to strap a daypack to it. I've also heard good things about the Eberlestock X-2. I tried one on at Sportsmans Warehouse Thursday and liked it a lot.
