I accidentally spilled about 3 gal of gas in my Jeep back in early Spring. Three deep carpet cleans with a commercial extractor wasn't enough so I bought an ozone machine. Three 10 minute treatments got rid of the smell.

So I have an ozone machine and I'm thinking of using it to make a chest for my hunting clothes since it's just sitting around.

Question is I have treated my clothes and hunting boots with permethrin, if I ozone these clothes will it mess up my treatment? Will I have to reapply permethrin or does it not affect on the treatment?

I agree completely. Working in the outdoors, I go through about 4 quarts of Permethrin mix every summer. I HATE chiggers and don't want alpha-gal again.
 
Permethrin is the best chemical ever invented. Its been years since I've had to pull off an embedded tick, and have only had a couple chigger bites in the past 3 years

A quick AI search says ozone will very slowly react with permethrin, but at near neglible rates, and should not affect the insecticde properties of permethrin.
 
An ozone level of 1-10ppm in an enclosed space will definitely break down permethrin. Could degrade up to 30% per 30 minute treatment, depending on exact ozone level.
