Oversized tires

I just bought a 2007 Foreman 500 that has only 300 miles on it. The original owner changed the tires and wheels to TPI brand. I really don�t care for the wheels, (chrome steel), and he changed the tire size.
Front tires 25X8-12 were changed to 26X10-12
Rear tires 25X10-12 were changed to 26X10-12

I usually like to stay with the original equipment size tires and wheels for something like this because I figure the engineers wanted it that way for a reason.

Even though the size difference isn�t that much, the two main issues here seem to be ground clearance and center of gravity. Has any one ever seen a real problem or benefit with going to a larger diameter tire on a 4 wheeler?

Little more ground clearance and goes better in mud.
If it is a heavy mud tire you will tell a power difference if you go back to stock tires.

I have worked on bike for a living for many years. The engine and frame and suspension will be fine. The only problem that big wheel kit will have effect on is the wheel bearings. You will change them two to one over standard size wheels.

When I bought my 2005 Rancher in 2006, it had the ITP wheels and ITP Mudlite tires on it. I like them just fine.

No bigger than they are you won't have any problems with wear and tear on anything. As far as center of gravity, the Honda's sit low anyway so the extra 1/2" isn't even noticable.

I upgraded to 26"x10.5" ITP 589 from my factory 25" tires and have loved them ever since.

i have a 03 450 foreman and i put these itp tires on about a week after i bought it. its been rawhided and no problems with anything.
