I just bought a 2007 Foreman 500 that has only 300 miles on it. The original owner changed the tires and wheels to TPI brand. I really dont care for the wheels, (chrome steel), and he changed the tire size.
Front tires 25X8-12 were changed to 26X10-12
Rear tires 25X10-12 were changed to 26X10-12
I usually like to stay with the original equipment size tires and wheels for something like this because I figure the engineers wanted it that way for a reason.
Even though the size difference isnt that much, the two main issues here seem to be ground clearance and center of gravity. Has any one ever seen a real problem or benefit with going to a larger diameter tire on a 4 wheeler?
